Heat Pump Conference 2018
Proposed merger of GSHPA and HPA to form the Heat Pump Federation
Thursday 20 September 2018
National Motorcycle Museum, Solihull B92 0EJ

The day begins at 10am with presentations on the exciting proposal for the GSHPA to merge with the Heat Pump Association to create a single powerful voice for the heat pump industry in the UK: the Heat Pump Federation. Speakers will include John Findlay, Bean Beanland and Russel Beattie from FETA.

Merger to form HPF

GSHPA's AGM will take place following the presentations on the proposed merger with the Heat Pump Association by both the Council of the GSHPA and the Council of the HPA and a debate followed by a vote to determine members' appetite for the Council to progress planning negotiations with the HPA to form the new Heat Pump Federation. If the vote is in favour of the merger in principal, the Council will work to compile a detailed proposal document which will be issued as quickly as possible after the AGM. It is envisaged that an electronic vote on the proposed merger will take place in November. This schedule is designed to give members the fullest opportunity to learn more about the pros and cons of the proposal prior to making a final decision.

A hot buffet lunch will be provided to all delegates with the opportunity for networking, meeting our various presenters and talking to exhibitors.

The influencers in the heat pump sector including Dr Oliver Quast from BEIS, Luke Bailey from OFGEM and Chris Roberts from MCS will be presenting after lunch and will be available throughout the afternoon to give delegates the opportunity to raise issues affecting their own businesses and projects. Further workshops and advice clinics will be held following the presentations.

Come and participate in this very important event for heat pump industry representation, or submit a proxy voting form. We very much look forward to seeing you there.
