Hydratech's Thermox DTX heat transfer fluid with antifreeze function, has been specially formulated for use in ground source heat pump systems, delivering a non-flammable and non-toxic solution - proven to provide 10% increase in geothermal heat recovery when compared with propylene glycol based fluids. Thermox DTX contains synergistic corrosion inhibitors to protect metals commonly found in geothermal, GSHP and air-source heat recovery systems, both commercial and domestic. It has been independently tested and found to meet BS6580 and ASTM D1384 corrosion standards. It also contains scale and biological inhibitors to help prevent fouling, promoting long operational life and high thermal efficiency. Thermox DTX mixtures are biodegradable (90% over ten days) and will not remain in the environment or bio-accumulate.
